About

I'm Vinícius Lisboa, a machine learning engineer in Paraíba, Brazil. I split my time between building systems that verify there is a real person on the other side of the screen and studying the reverse question: whether one day there will be someone on the inside of the machine.

I got here through a path that crossed quite different fields. Between 2017 and 2020, I worked as an independent data analyst, delivering data processing, automation, and dashboard projects with Python, Excel, and BI tools. Between 2020 and 2022, I was a solutions architect at Schindler Group, adapting system architectures for the Latin American market on a remote, multidisciplinary team. That path through data, systems, and architecture is what brought me to machine learning.

Since 2022, I've been a computer science teacher and coordinator at Gov.PB, at ECIT Henrique Fernandes de Farias, where my role goes beyond the classroom: I lead applied projects in systems, data analysis, and cybersecurity fundamentals with my classes. As an advising teacher, I work with students on Nameplate (monitoring and forecasting of renewable energy curtailment in Northeast Brazil, an independent project built at the school) and on Canal Zero, an anonymous channel for reporting school violence.

In 2024, I founded Hummand, a govtech for digital identity and proof of humanity with products in production, and I also maintain The Alert, an uptime monitoring and observability platform.
